Would You Eat at Arby’s to Stand up to Bully Cops?

Dan Sanchez
September 3, 2015

(ANTIMEDIA) Pembroke Pines, FL — Police Sergeant Jennifer Martin rolled up to an Arby’s drive-thru Monday night, presumably hungry after a long day of menacing peaceful people with extortion threats.

Unfortunately for her dinner plans, she encountered at the window a young man whose moral sense and powers of observation somehow survived his American childhood intact. Much to her indignant surprise, instead of being offered the usual complimentary side order of “thank you for your service,” she herself was refused service by the 19-year-old clerk.

After being addressed curtly while placing her order, the salivating sergeant drove up to the pick-up window where she was informed by the manager that the clerk, “doesn’t want to serve you because you are a police officer.” Admirably, the manager even added that the young man had a right not to.

Shortly thereafter, Sergeant Martin returned on foot, demanding a refund over concern for the food’s safety — perhaps projecting her own profession’s standards and presuming that cop critics must be as willing to contaminate food as cops are to contaminate evidence. She petulantly collected the manager’s information for tattling purposes, along with her money. Meanwhile, the clerk continued to refuse to speak to her.

The Arby’s CEO later called Martin’s chief to apologize, and the company promised to “…be sure that our policy of inclusion is understood and adhered to.

Of course, for the local police unions, this is not nearly enough groveling and punishment for such an egregious act of lèse-majesté. One union official shamelessly referencedthe fatal attacks on the men and women in uniform in America” and the president’s lack of leadership while simpering about the roast-beef-related incident.

He insisted that it “…warrants much more than an apology. […] Until corrective action is taken and the employees involved in this incident are terminated, we are calling for a national boycott of Arby’s.”

Wouldn’t it be something if this call had the same opposite effect as the 2012 attempt to boycott Chik-fil-A? What if supporters of the brave young drive-thru clerk flocked to Arby’s, driving up record sales to make a statement? That would certainly amplify his act of protest, and foil yet another attempt by police unions to bully and silence critics.

Call it #SandwichSolidarity. When police accountability activists risk their jobs — and worse, incur the indignation of vindictive cops — surely eating a few times at Arby’s is not toomuch a sacrifice to provide one of them with support.

As you can see, America is missing a few years, nevertheless, we have come pretty close to making the effort to be at war with someone perpetual. The authorities are working to make sure that there are no gaps in future.

War. It's what we do.

Found out about this from Causes via someone today and it went right by the dozen or so drafts that are begging to be finished. Why? Because this is absolutely disgusting. Like the title says, it’s a disgrace. That it happens anywhere makes the skin crawl.

Who the hell are  these people. What goes through their minds. They are what are called ‘crackers’ in some circles. Sometimes they’re funny. Otjer times, like here,, they show their true inner colors and become sick, depraved sub human crap.

They’d probably get along really well with the sick, depraved sub human crap of China.

People get all bent out of shape about the seal-clubbers in several remote, isolated areas, notably in Canada. At least that has a purpose. These people are far, far worse than any seal clubber. The purpose given for Bear baiting is bullshit. These people are having fun. These people must have mental issues up the wazoo. Of this I have no doubt.

So creepy.

From Causes:

Bear baiting (also called bear baying) pits a declawed and defanged bear which is chained to a stake against hunting dogs that bark and bite at it while hundreds of people watch. Spectators consider this event entertainment and hunters consider this as a training regimen for their animals. As countries around the world ban events such as bullfighting and cockfighting, Pakistan and South Carolina (USA), are two remaining places that haven’t criminalized the practice. Sign the petition today to help put an end to this “sport.”

Bear baiting, also known as “bear baying” by some, is a cruel spectator event where participants release their dogs to attack a tethered, captive bear, who has had her claws and some of her teeth cut off, leaving her defenseless.

Outlaw Bear Baiting in South Carolina!

To: Nikki Haley, South Carolina Governor and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources

Defenseless bears have no rights and are attacked for the cruel pleasure of spectators. Bear baiting needs to be stopped. We demand that South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley outlaw and criminalize bear baiting in the state to put an end to this practice.

South Korea seizes capsules containing powdered flesh of dead babies

The South Korean government revealed Monday that it recently seized thousands of capsules filled with the powdered flesh of dead babies. Reportedly, some people believe the powder has medicinal purposes and was created in northeastern China.

South Korea has reportedly been reluctant to criticize China directly over the incident, out of fears of creating diplomatic friction with the country. But the process by which the powder is allegedly created is one of the most disturbing stories imaginable.

According to the Korea Customs Service, the bodies of dead babies are chopped into small pieces and dried on stoves before being turned into powder. The customs officials have refused to say exactly where the babies come from or who is responsible for making the capsules.

China has already been in the spotlight over activist Chen Guangcheng, whose work involves protesting the government’s sterilization and forced abortion policies. It was recently reported that China is working to “soften“ its one-child policy slogans, though not the actual policy itself.

Last year, Chinese officials ordered an investigation into the manufacturing of drugs made from dead fetuses or newborn babies. Nonetheless, South Korean officials said in a statement they have discovered 35 smuggling attempts since last August, during which 17,450 capsules labeled as “stamina boosters” were discovered. Rather than containing any inherent medicinal properties, the capsules are said to contain dangerous bacteria and other harmful, unspecified ingredients.

Amazingly, none of the smugglers have been arrested in the various confiscations because the South Korean customs officials said the amounts of human flesh contained in the capsules were too small and were not intended for direct sale. The smugglers claimed to have no knowledge of the human flesh content, saying they believed the capsules were ordinary stamina-boosting pills.

I have known for a long time that the perceptions held by the Chinese and apparently Asia at large are radically different from the perceptions and views I am familiar with and that human life does not have quite the same meaning or value.

But this is… repulsive.

And no one is going to be arrested. Of this I am quite certain.

Some of this profoundly ignorant belief in the magical properties of various substances was touched on in my post long ago on the extraction of bodily fluids from bears under conditions such that the bears were driven to commit suicide. Yes, bears. Asian “medicine” (read: superstition) also feels that if whatever they’re seeking is extracted while the creature is alive…  then it is even more powerful. Right. Ignorance!

Before my near-suicidal depression drives me to blustering foolishness, however, I’d best say right now that the superstition would appear to be not completely universal, seeing, obviously, as how the South Korean authorities did indeed confiscate these abominations, so, there is that. Which is good. But…

These Pills Are Made Out Of People!

Babies!

But we won’t mention the jaw-droppingly lame excuse given by the customs officials. Somewhat telling, isn’t it?

Odd… The weird and discounted Fortean story of the Dropa just popped itself up in the midst of trying to fathom how people could think that chopping up dead baby bodies into little pieces so theyd dry out faster is perfectly mundane.

Maybe they really ARE  aliens…

Creepy.

Peace.

Sadness.

Well, I am really depressed now.

Feel stupid, even.

I just now learned that WP.com had indeed added the ability to do a blackout here on the 18th.

They had put it in Settings.

I never look at Settings, as they are, well, set.

Idiot.

I am really very sad that I had not seen that option as this, in my mind, at least, is my main site.

I’d done it to all my other sites… and one I run for friends. Sigh. Very sad.

I wonder if that’s why I have lost 151 subscribers.

Define Necessity.

It is my feeling that this composite photograph perfectly illustrates exactly what is wrong with the United States. Very likely other places, too, but I cannot say that with certainty, for I live here… and for here… that thought is what comes to my mind.

On the left, we see the result of political and corporate greed, as well as the result of our foreign “aid” programs. We see human beings. Human beings with the look of hunger, the look of desperation, hopelessness and despair.

On the right, we also see the result of political and corporate greed. Just at the opposite end of greed’s spectrum. We see zombies. We see debt slaves. We see utter fools. The look of desperation is there, too, desperation of a different sort.

Look at them. Clamoring about like gerbils on crack, spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on cheap Chinese crap that will be thrown away as useless detritus within the year when it falls apart. Awful.

No thoughts roiling around in their vacuous ether of giving some of their wealth to the people on the left. No. Oh, maybe a very few will if they get some plea in the mail, (none of which would likely end up in the left side’s bellies anyway); but that episode will be quickly forgotten.

They’ve been trained, you see, trained all their lives, to be consumers, passive yet eager to please slaves, trained to live their lives toiling for the sole purpose of enriching the producers of their desired objects. It’s like a religion. So perhaps it is not entirely their fault, but at the same time, perhaps it is their fault that they have so little compassion for anything outside of their little pleasure bubble. It is a tragedy. And so it goes as well for the entirety of the socioeconomic system created to support it.

Creepy.

This, I posit, is what is wrong.

From a post by a friend on Facebook this morning, we learn of this utter travesty of … what? Common sense? Intelligence? Something like that. No, just like that. I mean, seriously, you simply can’t make this stuff up.

At some point last night, I read a thought posted on ATS that rang true to me. The gist of it was that while many of us remain in our normal state of mind and being, there is something wrong with reality. Events such as this do not assist in alleviating that underlying and ominous sense of high strangeness in the cosmic background weirdness index.

You should read the full article, but just from the excerpts below you’ll find that it took an impressive 21 fully trained, professional educators three years to come up with this new standard for absurdity. And if that’s not an indicator that something is wrong with reality, then I am at a complete and total loss as to what one might be.

I think I might just have to award these wingnuts the WATT Upper Class Twit Of The Year Award. And I will, damn it! So there! I do indeed feel quite confident that no one, anywhere, could come up with something as batshit crazy as this. Who ARE these people? And just what are they smoking?

Here is a link to the source of this news at The Telegraph’s website in the UK. Read it and weep!

Here are a few excerpts…

Brussels bureaucrats were ridiculed yesterday after banning drink manufacturers from claiming that water can prevent dehydration.

Drinking water.

NHS health guidelines state clearly that drinking water helps avoid dehydration, and that Britons should drink at least 1.2 litres per day

EU officials concluded that, following a three-year investigation, there was no evidence to prove the previously undisputed fact.

Producers of bottled water are now forbidden by law from making the claim and will face a two-year jail sentence if they defy the edict, which comes into force in the UK next month.

Last night, critics claimed the EU was at odds with both science and common sense. Conservative MEP Roger Helmer said: “This is stupidity writ large.”

“The euro is burning, the EU is falling apart and yet here they are: highly-paid, highly-pensioned officials worrying about the obvious qualities of water and trying to deny us the right to say what is patently true.”

Prioritize much? Think much? Get out much? Didn’t think so…

“If ever there were an episode which demonstrates the folly of the great European project then this is it.”

NHS health guidelines state clearly that drinking water helps avoid dehydration, and that Britons should drink at least 1.2 litres per day.

The Department for Health disputed the wisdom of the new law. A spokesman said: “Of course water hydrates. While we support the EU in preventing false claims about products, we need to exercise common sense as far as possible.”

And, interestingly, in this next line a credentialed commentator echoes the sentiment raised above in that something is very seriously wrong… and it is followed by the revelation that this event cannot, with precision, be called a one-off slip of the grey-matter, either…!

Prof Hahn, from the Institute for Food Science and Human Nutrition at Hanover Leibniz University, said, “[…] We fear there is something wrong in the state of Europe.”

Ukip MEP Paul Nuttall said the ruling made the “bendy banana law” look “positively sane”.

He said: “I had to read this four or five times before I believed it. It is a perfect example of what Brussels does best. Spend three years, with 20 separate pieces of correspondence before summoning 21 professors to Parma where they decide with great solemnity that drinking water cannot be sold as a way to combat dehydration.

Rules banning bent bananas and curved cucumbers were scrapped in 2008 after causing international ridicule.

I was hoping to write more about this, but I just can’t seem to come up with things at the moment… like I said above  with that cliche, you can’t make this stuff up.

Peace and… umm… drink up!

Being a sometimes ludicrously verbose fellow, I am right this minute finding sweet refreshment in gazing upon this scene… ahhh, yes, the “economy of words.”

To that end…

A fine example of the Economy of Words concept.

Thank you.

I had, dear readers, for all these years I have lived, thought that we human beings were the only creatures who committed suicide.

I was wrong.

I learned this sadness of reality through a post at ATS by Predator187, a great contributor, which led to the original source. Yes, I’m always there. I opened the post because the title was shocking and I thought that it couldn’t possibly be real.

It was.

This is the most disturbing thing I have read and learned in a very long time. To think that animals… who I DO believe have intelligence, language and emotion… despite what people say… to think that they for whatever reason can find themselves in a situation so horrible that they think thoughts of suicide… and then actually do it… like we do… is a really bad indication of just how screwed up this planet has become. And in this case, it is the direct fault of human beings.

Specifically, in this instance, the Chinese. And their TCM, or Traditional Chinese Medicine, which uses bits of animals for supposed cures. Including cockroaches. And bears. Many of these treatments are meant to be used for illnesses, as you’d expect. Many of these processed parts are sold to the masses as a sort of stamina booster.

An Asiatic Black Bear

In this particular case, the bears, who are treated just like Tyson treats chickens here at home, have their bile milked, daily, from their gall bladders. To quote ATS member Jordan River, my first thought, like his or hers, was “What the hell is a bile farm?” Well, disgusting is what it is. Being a formerly lower middle class American, the only time I’ve ever been exposed in any way to the bodily substance known as bile was in a scene from The X-Files where Mulder puts his hand in some and asks Scully, as he withholds the urgent need to hurl, what it is. It is disgusting when out of it’s home. And the Chinese apparently worship the stuff and it is prized in Chinese medicine and sells for $1,400 an ounce.

Thousands upon thousands are kept in tiny cages and painfully invaded. Daily. The way they do it is horrific. The following is from the original source of our awareness, AsiaOne…

Crush Cage

It was reported that the bears are kept in tiny cages known as ‘crush cages,’ as the bears have no room to manoeuvre and are literally crushed.

The bile is harvested by making a permanent hole or fistula in the bear’s abdomen and gall bladder.

As the hole is never closed, the animals are suspect to various infections and diseases including tumours, cancers and death from peritonitis.

The bears are fitted with an iron vest, as they often try to kill themselves by hitting their stomach as they are unable to bear the pain.

A person who was on the farm in place of a friend witnessed the procedures and told Renminbao.com that they were inhumane.

The witness also claimed that a mother bear broke out its cage when it heard its cub howl in fear before a worker punctured its stomach to milk the bile.

The workers ran away in fear when they saw the mother bear rushing to its cub’s side.

Unable to free the cub from its restraints, the mother hugged the cub and eventually strangled it.

It then dropped the cub and ran head-first into a wall, killing itself.

I mean, seriously, can you even imagine such a thing happening? What the hell is wrong with these people?

I am actually saddened that the mother bear didn’t get a chance to rip some of these disgusting people to shreds.

Some posters at ATS, probably kids, thought that none of it was real and said so, to which another responded with a lot of detailed and morbidly fascinating  information on TCM and added these two videos as proof that this repulsive practice was in fact very real. This one…

And then this one…

And now, dear reader, you know WHY they poach bears in North America. And elsewhere. $3,000 for a gall bladder is why. All for greed, all for servicing the ridiculous and selfishly vain superstitious medicinal fantasies of a clearly sick society.

The situation in general is more than a bit confusing to me, as it has been mentioned that these farms are legal in China. I am not sure if they are or not, really. They are certainly operating undisturbed. And yet several activist groups are engaging the Chinese government in stopping the practice completely, in concert with Chinese citizens. Not sure what to make of it all. Not sure at all.

It is widely known that the substances contained within these products can be synthesized effectively and cheaply, the thing is the deeply ingrained belief by millions of people around the world that taking it from the animal is supposedly better as it will bring a magically triumphant “power” to the mix. Can these beliefs be turned around? I would doubt it. But the government can force the situation. Will they? Time will tell. I don’t personally have too much faith in the Chinese, government or civilians, in matters such as this. We shall see…

An activist during a rare rescue. Note the crude 'chest armor.'

On an up note, a very few bears are being rescued by activists, the key words here being “very few,” however. Video of such here:

Sigh. What a great world we live in. China: 5,000 years of Ignorance and Superstition. I can’t write any more without repeating myself as I am emotionally a tad exhausted by it all, plus there is the rekindled North Korean issue I plan to write about and the secret space thread I still owe spynode, so I will sign off for now.

Peace.

god‘Enough Already With That Moron,’ Says Almighty

NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report) – Rev. Pat Robertson’s controversial remarks in which he advised that it was acceptable to divorce a spouse with Alzheimer’s drew a harsh rebuke from God Almighty, who held a press conference today to tell him to “shut the fuck up.”

The bearded King of the Universe, dressed in His trademark flowing white robe and carrying a lightning bolt, spoke to reporters at New York’s Hyatt Grand Central for forty-five minutes in a press conference specifically called to denounce the televangelist.

“I’ve held my tongue while he’s jabbered on and on about me punishing this group and that group with floods and earthquakes and such, but this was the last straw,” He said.  “Enough already with that moron.”

In addition to debunking Rev. Robertson’s Alzheimer’s statement, the Almighty categorically denied using natural disasters in the past to punish gays, Haitians, and other targets of Rev. Robertson’s scorn.

“Oh, please,” He said.  “That’s just weather.”

On another topic, God attempted to put distance between Himself and the presidential candidacy of Gov. Rick Perry of Texas: “Rick Perry is qualified to be President in the same way that Olive Garden is qualified to be Italy.”

I’ve had this picture for a while now. You might have seen it. They won, those terrorists, that they did. But neither the guy in this image nor any of his fellows had anything to do with it. They’re not the terrorists. Nope.

As whoever pasted those words on this image realizes, the USA is now the laughing stock of the entire world. And deservedly so. War on terror my ass. More and more I am ashamed to be a part of it. More and more I want to pack up and go, leaving the ignorant, mindless dolts to their fate. You know, I wasn’t going to even put any commentary in this post. But I just couldn’t. Going to an enslavement meeting today, by the way. Wish me luck.

We are the laughing stock the world. I hope you government supporters are happy.

Please give a ‘Thumbs up’!

There’s nothing they are leaving untouched: the mustard, the okra, the bringe oil, the rice, the cauliflower. Once they have established the norm: that seed can be owned as their property, royalties can be collected. We will depend on them for every seed we grow of every crop we grow. If they control seed, they control food, they know it — it’s strategic. It’s more powerful than bombs. It’s more powerful than guns. This is the best way to control the populations of the world. The story starts in the White House, where Monsanto often got its way by exerting disproportionate influence over policymakers via the “revolving door.” One example is Michael Taylor, who worked for Monsanto as an attorney before being appointed as deputy commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1991. While at the FDA, the authority that deals with all US food approvals, Taylor made crucial decisions that led to the approval of GE foods and crops. Then he returned to Monsanto, becoming the company’s vice president for public policy.

Thanks to these intimate links between Monsanto and government agencies, the US adopted GE foods and crops without proper testing, without consumer labeling and in spite of serious questions hanging over their safety. Not coincidentally, Monsanto supplies 90 percent of the GE seeds used by the US market. Monsanto’s long arm stretched so far that, in the early nineties, the US Food and Drugs Agency even ignored warnings of their own scientists, who were cautioning that GE crops could cause negative health effects. Other tactics the company uses to stifle concerns about their products include misleading advertising, bribery and concealing scientific evidence.

Check this out: What Monsanto Doesn’t Want You To Know-The Genetic Food Conspiracy:http://mysticalmusingsandpolitics.blogspot.com/2010/11/what-monsanto-doesnt-w…

A great documentary exposing the evil agricultural nightmare called Monsanto and the story of Roundup and Roundup Ready Soybeans. A 2004 documentary film which makes an in-depth investigation into unlabeled, patented, genetically engineered foods that have quietly made their way onto grocery stores in the United States for the past decade. It voices the opinions of farmers in disagreement with the food industry and details the impacts on their lives and livelihoods from this new technology, and shines a light on the market and political forces that are changing what we eat. The film decries the cost of a globalized food industry on human lives around the world, and highlights how international companies are gradually driving farmers off the land in many countries. Potential global dependence of the human race on a limited number of global food corporations is discussed, as is the increased risk of ecological disasters — such as the Irish Potato Famine (1845–1849) — resulting from the reduction of biological diversity due to the promotion of corporate sponsored monoculture farming. The issue of incorporating a terminator gene into plant seeds is questioned, with concern being expressed about the potential for a widespread catastrophe affecting the food supply, should such a gene contaminate other plants in the wild. Legal stories reported by the film related how a number of farmers in North America have been sued by Monsanto; and the defendant of the Monsanto Canada Inc. v. Schmeiser case is interviewed.

Another classic… I think I may be on a food binge… Ha!

Seriously though, I cannot stress enough the importance of realizing what it is one is eating… and that some of those things could be harmful in ways no one on earth can know or predict.

Be aware that this goes for every single person on this earth… it is as serious as a heart attack. For it could well give you one. Or a lot worse. And your kids? Fuggeddaboudit … they’re goners.

If you’re not really upset, you need to smell the roses, bud.

I’m thinking I’ll just go ahead and hit publish… the two uploader descriptions are pretty wordy and the film quite handily speaks for itself. Do yourself a favor and watch it.

Information
Food, Inc
Documentary filmmaker Robert Kenner uses reports by FAST FOOD NATION author Eric Schlosser and THE OMNIVORE’S DILEMMA author Michael Pollan as a springboard to exploring where the food we purchase really comes from, and what it means for the health of future generations. By exposing the comfortable relationships between business and government, Kenner gradually shines light on the dark underbelly of the American food industry. The USDA and FDA are supposed to protect the public, so why is it that both government regulatory agencies have been complicit in allowing corporations to put profit ahead of consumer health, the American farmer, worker safety, and even the environment? As chicken breasts get bigger and tomatoes are genetically engineered not to go bad, 73,000 Americans fall ill from powerful new strains of E. coli every year, obesity levels are skyrocketing, and adult diabetes has reached epidemic proportions. Perhaps if the general public knew how corporations use exploited laws and subsidies to create powerful monopolies, the outrage would be enough to make us think more carefully about the food we put into our bodies.

This is a great film that everyone needs to see. Worth seeing again if it’s been awhile. This thread is meant mostly for those new to the scene, though, those just starting to realize that it is just not what it seems, this world we live in.

It is really quite frightening when you come to see the big picture, to know what is truly happening all around us, to know that when you take a bite out of that burger, you’re eating cow shit. Yeah.

There is a fine juxtaposition at an hour in, 57:30 really. After a wonderful segment with a real farmer who gives us truth they switch focus to a rather inane organic convention featuring their own poisons and then we see the Stonyfield company. I used to buy their yogurt. Used to. The company goes to the extreme opposite of the real farmer we have just learned a lot from. They sell tons of no longer completely good food to meet the needs of that repugnant monstrosity known as Wal-Mart. Antithesis much? And worst of all, yes worse than that – they have wholeheartedly endorsed GMO “foods” … yeah … and quite recently. Which means Stonyfield are in point of fact completely full of shit. I am sorry, but I can not buy things from sell-outs. I cannot trust that kind.

The film gets into some feel good bits after that through to the end.

I wonder if we can re-achieve a healthy way of life. I wonder if we can eradicate the poisons we face – before  Monsanto and Pioneer and Smithfield and Tyson and all the others kill every last one of us… all for their inhuman greed.

Peace.

I did not want to believe what I was reading at AboveTopSecret and then the source of the story, the UK’s Telegraph. But, there it was. A picture perfect representation of the level of ignorance, idiocy and stupidity that the country I call home has sunk down to. I mean, you can’t make this stuff up!

I am rendered somewhat speechless by this news… bear with me… how can people be so stupid? How was this idea even allowed to go forward? Does one need to be below a certain IQ to work for Portland Water? Does this imply that the water pouring from people’s taps in Oregon is completely untreated? What about dead fish? Fish shit? Dead deer? Bear? Bird wee-wee? Mosquito larvae? What The Hell Is Wrong With People?!

As I am about to start rambling incoherently out of sheer disbelief, I feel compelled to post the Original Post from the thread at Above Top Secret by anon72 to give my brain some time. And, please, do click that and read the rest of the thread, okay? Always some fab commentary at ATS.

8 Million Gallons of Water Drained from Reservoir after Man Urinates In It: (absolutely crazy!)

The operation is costing the state’s taxpayers $36,000 and was ordered after Joshua Seater, 21, was caught on a security camera relieving himself in the pristine lake

Portland reservoir drained for a cup of pee.

Health experts said the incident would not have caused any harm to people in the city of Portland, who are supplied with drinking water from the reservoir. They said the average human bladder holds only six to eight ounces, and the urine would have been vastly diluted

But David Shaff, an administrator at the Portland Water Bureau, defended the decision to empty the lake. “There are people who will say it’s an over reaction. I don’t think so. I think what you have to deal with here is the ‘yuck’ factor,” “I can imagine how many people would be saying ‘I made orange juice with that water this morning.’ “Do you want to drink pee? Most people are going to be pretty damn squeamish about that.” he said.

Source: www.telegraph.co.uk…

Makes me want to say WHAT THE HELL! This Mr. Shaff has some issues I think. Deep routed issues.

Absolute waste of value water-over a little bit of pee! How does he think the water gets to the dam area. By passing through mountains etc. Dead animals in water ways, all kinds of waste. That’s why we treat it…..

I don’t have any experience in this field but to me this just seems crazy to dump all that water. What do they do when they find an animal dead in it? Fish? hmmmmm?

Can anyone of you make sense of this act? The dumping not the peeing.

Political Correctness? Extreme Nature Lovers? Eco-Manics in charge now?

Ha! Deep rooted issues indeed. Well, I am still out of sorts. A few replies noting the things mentioned above and then…

A post in reply from survivalstation who kindly lists perhaps the best place to vent of them all:

From the Portland Water twitter stream….

You can write the Administrator directly at shaff.david@portlandoregon.gov and share your views with him directly.

Well, since WordPress just posted this by itself, before I was finished, I might as well wrap it up just to repeat my level of astonishment at this incredible display of abject stupidity here in a supposedly educated society.

Could there have been another reason that the lake needed to be drained quickly, and poor Mr. Joshua Seater was just a convenient patsy?

Hmmm…
