Lest those who might have thought the latest chapter of the continuing Amelia Earhart disinformation campaign had come to a neat and tidy close with theJuly 11 report fromThe Guardianonline that the photograph of the dock at Jaluit in the Marshall Islands had been found in a Japanese travel book, we now have another, not unexpected, loose end. You might recall that The Guardian reported that “The image was part of aJapanese-language travelogueabout the South Seasthat was published almost two years before Earhart disappeared.”
